We are cooperating with WWF-Turkey, for the Legal Framework of Small-Scale Fisheries

There are over ten thousand small-scale fishing boats operating in our Country surrounded on three sides by the seas. We, as Erdemir&Özmen, also take part in the project initiated by WWF-Turkey (World Wildlife Fund) in order to contribute to ensuring the sustainability of small-scale fisheries.  

The Small-Scale Fisheries Joint Management Project aims to develop a common management understanding across the Mediterranean, to render the relevant practices sustainable and to contribute to the transformation of small-scale fisheries by improving the income sources. Among the project activities are to carry out training and capacity building activities, to bring together the relevant public institutions, local administrations, scientific and research institutions and non-governmental organizations related to fisheries and to create a common platform.  

We are working on the legal infrastructure of the joint management in line with our legal and law knowledge in this field and sharing the outcomes with WWF-Turkey.
